Cosmetically they provide botox, cool sculpting, Fraxel Laser, Juvederm, laser hair removal, and Ultherapy treatments. Surgically, Center for Excellence in Dermatology can perform Mohs surgery with is a highly effective procedure for treating skin cancer.
Mohs surgery is used to treat skin cancers, and boasts the highest cure rate of all treatments for skin cancer. The process involves the cutting away of the cancer one layer at a time. Each layer is then examined microscopically in order to ensure all the cancer is removed. The examinations are important to making sure all of the roots are removed. These roots lie under the skin, thereby making the size of the cancer much greater. The process typically only takes three or fewer stages, however the size of the cancer’s roots cannot be estimated in advance. Dr. Hopp has treated over 8,000 Mohs cases making him very experienced and knowledgeable about treating skin cancer and the Mohs procedure.
Center for Excellence in Dermatology uses the XTRAC® excimer laser to treat mild to moderate psoriasis. This process has many advantages over traditional psoriasis treatments including no direct UV exposure to healthy skin, no daily care, no risk of skin thinning or stretch marks, and no risk of liver damage or birth defects. The light energy breaks down psoriatic skin plaques quickly and effectively.
The Fraxel Restore laser is capable of treating thousands of microscopic areas of the skin. The laser can treat minor to sever sun damage such as age spots, wrinkles, acne scarring, surgery scarring, and a multitude of other skin problems. Fraxel promotes natural skin growth by simulating the skin’s natural healing process. This procedure can achieve naturally looking skin in only a few treatments, and can be used on the face, neck, back, chest, and hands.
The Zimmer Cryo Chillers assist with these various treatments by minimalizing pain and discomfort to the patient. The Cryo 6 provide local relief through air-cooling during various procedures. Medically, it helps to prevent damage to the skin throughout laser procedure. Zimmer Cryo 6 also brings a piece of mind to the patient even when undergoing the most advanced aesthetic treatments.
