Julie Powell is a licensed Cosmetologist and Certified Skin Care Specialist with twenty-five years of experience. She also offers several chemical treatments and specialized facial treatments.

IPL or Intense Pulse Light laser hair removal is a more permanent hair reduction process that can effectively remove unwanted hair. Palomar® pioneered this technology and over the years has developed more advanced lasers that can treat a wider range of skin colors, hair color, and hair thickness. IPL uses specific wavelengths of light with large spot size to remove even the finest of hair for patients of all skin types. The StarLux laser is the laser used by Parkway Plastic Surgery and is the most versatile, and effective device available.

The Fraxel Restore laser is capable of treating thousands of microscopic areas of the skin. The laser can treat minor to sever sun damage such as age spots, wrinkles, acne scarring, surgery scarring, and a multitude of other skin problems. Fraxel promotes natural skin growth by simulating the skin’s natural healing process. This procedure can achieve naturally looking skin in only a few treatments, and can be used on the face, neck, back, chest, and hands.

Thermage is a unique radiofrequency treatment that can help to tighten loose or sagging skin. Thermage radiofrequency energy works with the body and helps to promote collagen growth to help make the skin smooth and feel younger. The benefits include the tightening of sagging skin, better definition of facial features around the eyes, jaw and neckline, and the smoothing and sculpting of unsightly bulges and wrinkles on the face and body.

The Zimmer Cryo Chillers assist with these various treatments by minimalizing pain and discomfort to the patient. The Cryo Chillers provide local relief through air-cooling during various procedures. Medically, it helps to prevent damage to the skin throughout laser procedure. Zimmer Cryo Chiller also brings a piece of mind to the patient even when undergoing the most advanced aesthetic treatments.
