Cryo 6 Extended Hose - Greater Reach
The Cryo 6 extended hose is intended for use with the Cryo 6 skin cooling system. Only Cryo 6 models should be equipped with the Cryo 6 extended hose. Other Cryo models should be fitted with their corresponding Cryo hoses and/or extended hoses.
The Cryo 6 extended hose delivers cold air of up to -30 C from the Cryo 6 skin cooling system to the treatment site. The cold air is typically intended to minimize pain and thermal injury during laser and dermatological treatments and for temporary topical anesthetic relief for injections. The epidermis is cooled before, during, and after laser energy has been applied – without interfering with the laser beam.
The Cryo 6 extended hose is 9 feet in length and made of premium quality, durable materials. The Cryo 6 extended hose is especially suited for larger treatment rooms or treatment rooms that host several pieces of equipment where moving the Cryo 6 unit is not practical. The cryo 6 extended hose can also be of benefit if placed between multiple treatment chairs. The Cryo 6 extended hose attaches to the front of the Cryo 6 unit. The extended hose is installed by lining up the pin on the extended hose with the indentation on the air outlet of the Cryo 6 unit. Then turn the extended hose clockwise and pull slightly down to secure in place. To release the Cryo 6 extended hose from the Cryo 6 unit, simply push the extended hose slightly up, turn counterclockwise, and the extended hose will slide out.
Replacement of the Cryo 6 extended hose is recommended when you see or feel air leaks or compression points. With the Cryo 6 unit in operation run your hand across the entire length of the extended hose looking and feeling for air leaks. Using a damaged extended hose can restrict air flow and affect the air load delivered. Please do not pull or stretch the extended hose beyond its usable distance as overextending the extended hose can cause damage and result inefficient treatment and/or damage to the Cryo 6 unit. Rather wheel the Cryo 6 unit to a more suitable location before beginning treatment.
Works with the following accessories:
Cryo 6 articulating arm
The Cryo 6 articulating arm allows the user hands-free operation of the Cryo 6 unit. The Cryo 6 articulating arm holds the extended hose in place during treatment and can be repositioned as needed. Sold separately.
Cryo 6 focusing tip
The Cryo 6 focusing tip is an air nozzle that provides the user with a more concentrated air flow. The focusing tip attaches to the extended hose by inserting the tip into the treatment end of the extended hose. The range of the tip can be adjusted by sliding it more or less into the Cryo 6 extended hose, and to provide a means to reach those harder to reach treatment sites. Sold separately.
