Cryo Mini Filter - Keeping You Clean
The Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo Mini filter is intended for use with the Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo Mini skin cooling system. Only Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo Mini models should be equipped with the Cryo Mini filter. Other Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo models should be fitted with their corresponding Cryo filters.
A dirty filter can affect the overall performance of your Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo unit and compromise the refrigeration system. Please vacuum your Cryo Mini filter every 150 hours of operation (every two weeks for best practice) and replace your Cryo Mini filter when necessary. There will be a message on your Cryo Mini unit to check your filter along with an indicator with the word “OK” over the fourth button on the touch screen. Select the button under “OK” and the message will clear.
Clean your Cryo Mini filter from the outside. Larger dirt particles can easily be removed by surface vacuuming. Clean your Cryo Mini filter every week if your Cryo Mini unit is operated in a carpeted treatment room or other circumstances that generate higher than normal amounts of dust.
The Cryo Mini filter is located on the back of your Cryo Mini unit. To replace a Cryo Mini filter, remove both wheel covers of the two rear wheels. Then remove the four screws of the top plate (the outer two left and outer two right screws, not the four screws of the smaller plate that houses the fan), remove the plate and slide the filter up and out. Remove the safety ground connector from the old Cryo Mini filter, put the new Cryo Mini filter in place, reach in and attach the safety ground connector to the new Cryo Mini filter. Attach the four screws to the top plate, and slide the two wheel covers back over the two rear wheels.

A properly working and regularly cleaned Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo Mini filter is essential for the performance of your Cryo Mini unit, so it can deliver cold air as low as -10°C to the treatment site. The cold air is typically intended to minimize pain and thermal injury during laser and dermatological treatments and for temporary topical anesthetic relief for injections. The epidermis is cooled before, during, and after laser energy has been applied – without interfering with the laser beam.
